I was disappointed in this KOA Park because of the high fee during off season, the cable TV did not work, the site was very unlevel, and the showers lack a stool or chair. Then there is the experience with off season staff and hours. We arrived at 4PM and the office closed at 5PM. When the office is closed you can not access the laundry or game room. The young check in clerk did his best to get me near the Wi-Fi tower in the office. However, he directed me to a site that had the utilities on the passenger side, not the proper place, the driver’s side. This is weird setup only seen in older parks. There were only 3 other campers in this park so it was virtually empty. We relocated but he did the same thing again for a camper that came in just before 5PM. I asked the clerk about the cable, but he had no clue. There is no off the air TV here. After the office closed there were several transients that came in and used the showers. Yup, the ladies restroom had a lock but the code was advertised on a bulletin board for late arrivals along with the Wi-FI code. We camped here in a motor home and paid $33.66 for a w/e site. It was worth $15. The Wi-Fi was very good, but since we were very near the antenna and only had 3 bars I suspect some areas would not have good Wi-FI. This is probably a very good place to take the kids during the summer, but I would not pay their high fee again. If I want a “true camping” experience I will take a tent to the woods. I stay at private campgrounds such as KOA because I want a level place to park, hot clean showers, TV, and Wi-Fi.

Other reviews have covered this park fairly well. We counted 115 sites, not 154. It is rather new, clean, well kept, and easy to get to off of 50 Highway. The lady at the desk worked with me to get me a site (128) that was half way between the Wi-Fi antenna on the front office and the showers/rec room located in the middle of the park. We did use our jacks to get level front to rear. There are pull through sites and back in sites. She gave us a pull through even tho our rig is only 29’ and we are not towing. Maybe that is why our fee was higher. We paid $26.71 with a Good Sam discount. The pull through sites are rather short. Most 5th wheelers or motorhomes towing will have to disconnect. There are no picnic tables. The nearby 18-hole golf course is virtually adjacent and the fees were $35 which includes the cart. Our schedule did not allow us to check out this bargain. My biggest complaint is the Wi-Fi. I had a strong signal and the speed was super at 5PM. By 6:30PM the connection was intermittent and I had to Repair several times. At 7:30PM the connectivity was zero. The next morning the Wi-Fi was still off the air. Since Wi-Fi and golf are high on my list I would look hard at other options but would give them a 2nd chance just to play the nearby golf course.

We have stayed here several times in the past and will return in the future if we return to gamble. After reading other reviews here are my comments. Once in the past we had a site that had a sewer smell. You will notice the smell in certain areas if you walk thru the park. I suspect this comes from individual camper’s poor sewer connection but can not prove it. Not sure how you avoid it unless you sign in, go to your site, and check it out. This is a larger park. They had us on far back, upper row but changed us to nearer the front at my request. Thinking back the next time I may request the top row as the shuttle buses are frequent and prompt. We were next to a restroom which did not bother us at all as hardly anyone used it. It also eliminated the chance of having noisy dogs on one side. Not all restrooms have a laundry so if that is high on your list pay attention to their park map. My wife heard the washers and dryers on the upper levels were newer. $1.25 to wash, $1.00 to dry. Check in early to avoid the goat rope later in the day. We checked in at 3PM and there was 4 clerks servicing the campers. Be sure to follow the signs and pull around to the side of the office. The Wi-Fi is purchased on line. One day is about $9, a week is $20 and there is monthly rate. We stayed 3 days so I bought a week. The speed was not the fastest I have had but it was very reliable. I was told the coverage is the same across the park as they have repeaters on every row and that is evident when you connect. In the past you had to pay $2/day for a modem connection in the office. We could have stayed here free for a week on a Players Club offering. I used $7 to cover the Wi-Fi.

This was our first visit, and we paid $21.50 for a pull through site, #5, near the entrance. We first selected a back in site, #17 at $18.50 which is at the far south end of the lot. I could not connect or even see the Ramada Wi-Fi here so we relocated to site 5, a pull through, and they charged me $3 more. Here the signal strength and speed is great. Avoid the back ins if you want Wi-Fi. There is NO charge for Wi-Fi. My 2008 Trailer Life guide said there was Wi-Fi $$. Park in a site you like and then go to the Cashiers cage inside the casino to pay. You have to leave a $5 deposit for a shower key. There is one for men and one for women. The deposit is returned when you return the key. The showers are top notch with a lockable door, a shower door, a mat, and a bench. There is no cable and NO over the air TV. This may be the best feature. It is very quiet. There was little traffic in the parking lot after dark. I would stay here again.

This is what I expect from a KOA RV Park and will pay a tad more to get what I expect. The park is very clean, well laid out, friendly staff, and the restrooms are top notch. At check in the guy was willing to work with me to find the site that fit my needs, not his. We had a back in site, near the office, near the restrooms, near the Wi-Fi towers, e/w only for $26.33 with their KOA card. It was quiet. Never heard a train. Best of all the Wi-Fi worked great. The OSU golf course is about 4 miles west and needs to be played. We will the next time we stop in this nice RV park.

This park is mostly older but is decent for an over night stay. It is best described as having 3 areas. There are the permanent sites east of the office. There is the original back in sites among the tall trees. And now there are several VERY LONG modern pull through sites that have new power boxes, etc. Yes, the lady was very pleasant when I checked in. I mentioned Wi-Fi was important to me, and she registered with this. She assigned us the most distant site from the office and showers. This happens to be the shortest of the pull through's. I mentioned we were not towing, had a rather skimpy 29ft class A, and could handle a back in site. She was insistent that the site she had selected was the best for Wi-Fi which seems strange as the antenna was closer to the office. The park is reasonable clean, but the showers are somewhat small and narrow. The Wi-Fi did perform well. We stayed here in a motor home for $28.71 after discount. I would stay here again. Note: The 9 hole golf course in nearby Hinds is only 4 or so miles west. They want $12 to walk the 9 holes. You may have to walk as the office opens at Noon. It is rather rough but a good walk. Watch out for the Goose droppings.

We were attracted to this park because of its out of town location, that it had a Tavern, and a store with a deli. Only part of this is factual. The park has 10 or 12 back-in sites on the lake front, some on grass and some on gravel. The Tavern is real and on given nights the locals enjoy a few cool ones. The store and deli appeared to be no more than a few sacks of chips on a wall and a cooler with a few sodas, a loaf of bread and cheese. The restrooms are the biggest down side. There is one (1) for each sex. They are not heated and there is no shower curtain. The showers remind you of a forest service location but this is a Marina that caters to folks that fish. The plus side of this niche park is the rustic atmosphere with Wi-Fi. The lake views are nice, and there is TOTAL lack of sound at night. The wi-fi was 90% good with speed. After 8PM on the last night it slowed to a crawl. We were going to go to another park in town but returned to this one. There is also a question on the rates. When I first called the lady said it was $26/night. The total came to $28.99 which includes a glass of Bud. The 2nd night I paid in the office/store. The teenage girl told me the rate was $29. I told her of our last night’s stay and then she decided the total fee was $27 which included the Tax. This park is not for 80% of the people that travel. If you like to watch clouds, birds and listen to quiet, this is it, with Wi-Fi.

I agree with other reviewers comments. We paid $25.64. This park is convenient as it is 2 miles north of the cheese factory. It is small but can accommodate a few big rigs. Call first. There is some highway 101 noise. The Wi-Fi worked great. They do recycling which I support. One of the 2 dryers was broke so it took the wife more time than she likes to do the laundry. The office lady was up front about the dryer and worked with me on selecting the best site for our needs. The biggest down side is that the showers require Quarters ($.25). One Quarter gets you 3 minutes plus, 2 some more time and so on. I can understand why RV parks in high pedestrian traffic areas use coin operated showers but this park shouldn’t. The showers (2) were uni-sex but that is not the problem. IMHO coin operated showers are an indicator of a problem in what should be a standard RV campground. We checked on the fees for the nearby golf course and they were far too high. They wanted $56 for 2 to play 9 holes with a cart. Tomorrow we are playing a 3 and ½ star, 18 hole course in Florence, Ocean Dunes, for $60.

After reading the 8/2009 review I had to try this park and am glad we did. However: the $22.50 is current as of July 2009, as a Stimulus price. Before that the sign board says it is $30 a day. The sign board also says you have to buy tokens for the shower at $2.00 for 5 minutes. The nice hosts said the tokens were free and gave us 2. This park is immaculate. It is connected with a city day use park, thus the need for coin operated showers. They were clean, done in industrial-grade and vandal resistant stainless steel. There were only 5 campers in the park so they were using only the handicapped shower. There are train tracks you go under but the only train we saw was a slow one leaving the city at 8AM and never tooted a horn. The park roads are asphalt with concrete walks and RV pads. There is a beach at the river, a boat ramp, and a small pier. The only downside for me was the slow Wi-Fi. It is free through the City of Lebanon but when you sign up you have options. The free Wi-Fi is for 10 hours a month and only at a speed of 156Kb or so, somewhat faster than a modem connection. It would also time out after 5 minutes of non-use. I would stay here again only if I was not doing some serious web surfing. Their website where you can get reservations forms is www.cl.leganon.or.us. You fax the reservation form to 541-258-4950. Better yet: just call 541-258-4917 to make reservations. A very quiet park. There is 1 tent site.

We would not have stayed here, but a reviewer mentioned the Wi-Fi which is not mentioned in the guides. I have passed by this park many times in the past. It appears to be a KOA of many years past. Park models and permanents dominate. There may be 5 or more sites for overnighters, but that is hard to determine due to the layout. We are the only transient here this evening. The site the lady led us to was hard to recognize due to the weed growth. There was a huge (old) cottonwood tree that prevented me from getting close to the utilities. I suggested I come in from the other direction, but the lady said I would be taking up 2 sites. Her indifference was notable. The layout of the utilities is not modern and somewhat strange. After avoiding the tree, the power box is near the driver’s location, the water more forward, with the cable and sewer near the rear end of my 29 foot RV. The showers are very dated with mold and deteriorating walls. There was hot water, and mats on the floors. It took me some time to get connected with the Wi-Fi; I had to disable my AVG and Zone Alarm to connect. Once connected these aids were restarted. The access code I was given didn’t seem to help. Nor did the lady in the office who doesn’t use the Wi-Fi. The Wi-Fi works well. We paid $22.49 to camp here in our motor home. It is quiet. There was a 9 hole golf course in nearby Eager, but it is now closed. If I didn’t use Wi-Fi I would stay elsewhere.

The RV Park has not changed much since we first stayed there 1 night in 2000 for $14. However they do have a new hotel and fuel center. How they can fill a hotel in the middle of no where, with out golf course or lake is a question but not for discussion here. The RV Park is very good as others have noted. The sites I have had are not level but are easily leveled up. There can be a communication problem with the staff at check in. I ask for and got an electric/water site with good Wi-Fi access. I ask if there was a Good Sam discount but the replay was NO. However, the final fee was $20.79 with a 10% discount. I spent an hour trying to get on the Internet. The signal strength and speed was good but the connectivity was the pits. I finally called the office and inquired but the lady had no idea what the problem was or what to do. 5 minutes after my call the Wi-Fi was working very good. I will stay there again if I happen to be in the area late, but will be aware.

Once again I was swayed by reviews for this park over others. Thank you folks for your honest reviews. RV parks located in rural areas or between towns rank high if I am doing an overnight stay. Check-in took a little longer than usual as we discussed how costly weddings are these days: his son, my grandson. I left the office with a bunch of lemon cucumbers from the park's garden and a promise to have a paper on my door step at 7AM. We could have picked green tomatoes but we are not into fried green tomatoes. The Wi-Fi is working super even at 7PM. The only constructive comment I could give the owner (and they do read these reviews) is to spend a few bucks on shower amenities. Some showers had a mat in the dressing area but no stool, while other showers had a stool but no mat. I selected a wider shower that was not marked Handicap, but could have been. It had no shower curtain and no soap tray on the wall. A few bucks here and there would make the showers a 10 instead of a 5. We paid $23.76 with the discount to camp here in a motorhome. Not only would I stay here again, I would schedule my travel time and stops to do so.

This has to be the oldest and worst KOA RV Park. I am amazed that it is still sanctioned by the KOA home office and system. The entrance to this park is quick, narrow, and not RV friendly. We arrived at 3PM and the office was closed. See us at 4PM. There was the usual instructions and map to select your own site, etc. We wanted an electric only site for our 29 foot Class A which was hard to find as many of the electric boxes had no plug in connectors. All were very short or had overlapping trees. How often have you had to go from site to site with a digital voltmeter trying to find a place to camp? We finally found one but had to raise the front end 5 inches to get level. I could get connected with the park’s wi-fi but did not have the code word. Some one opened the office at 4PM, but they were fill ins for the owners who were at the football game. They fed the ducks that dirtied the entrance and took our money. Later, after spending an hour trying to get connected I ask about the wi-fi. Their answer was to bring your box down to the office and try it. We are less than 40 yards from the front office. While I write this we see several big rigs, towing, come in and are lucky to find a way to turn and exit. I would not stay here again.

Other reviews are very fair and accurate for this park. One might expect the freeway noise to be a problem, but it was not for the wife and me. I was impressed with the speed of the Wi-Fi and that the pool and hot tub was still open at this late date. The office said it would be open for “a couple of weeks”. I can understand how GPS might not be accurate for this location. It may be that Century Lane is not a public street but a private road. We were heading north on I-15 and got off at exit 343 and headed west on 2100 Street South per directions in our guide. Century Lane came up before I expected: well before the traffic light further west but in sight. So you turn left or south across 2 lanes of traffic, expecting to head south but as you cross the side walk you are facing a closed and locked gate that has a sign on it with Century Parks name. Even in my 29-footer I was wondering if my RV’s rear end was clearing the street. My wife noticed a sign to the left that indicate one was to turn more left and then right to get to the park. In short, you are almost making a U turn across 2100 south to get to the park. We would stay here again.

We were swayed very heavily by reviews for this park over the local KOA even though we have a KOA card. My focus was on the reports of good Wi-Fi. We paid $27 for a w/e site. If you are heading east/west on 84 this park is somewhat out of the way. It is a snap if you are driving 93. The owner and his wife spent a good 20 minutes giving us detailed directions on how to get to the WinnCo grocery store (neat) and then to their park. The turn right to follow 93 south where it joins 30 is an attention getter. We enjoyed this park. It was clean, quiet, and the Wi-Fi worked great. The hot tub was still in operation but we did not use it. We decided to stay over 1 more day as a storm was moving in. We played the Muni golf course nearby, got propane and gas. On second day the Wi-Fi was virtually useless from 5PM to 7:30PM. There were more campers in the park and more users. I called the office and she admitted the system can become overloaded. Other than that I would stay here again. My wife noted that the washers were $1 and dryers were $.75 which she says is a good bargain. If you are headed west continue on hwy 30 to see some great views of water falls and the Snake River.

This park is much the same as it has been the last 15 years with 2 exceptions. The fee is now $20 but they have Wi-Fi. The manager (Pop) down plays the reliability of the Wi-Fi if you ask him. We were in the middle of the park on this visit and had excellent signal strength, speed, and connectivity. In the past there were problems with the power at some sites. If you need 50amps be sure to state so when making a reservation. This is not a destination resort but a good buy for an overnight stay.

Strange set up. The pool is still closed or non-op but the Wi-Fi is good. The lower level sites, $24, are many but do not have cable and is far from the remotely located shower. The upper level has some backend sites that appear to be taken by permanents. There are 10 to 15 pull thru, full hookup. $27 with discount. The first two 69 and 70 are reserved for big rigs, and the owner refused to rent me one. The others have a severe dip where most rigs will drag. Once in the site they are reasonably level. Restrooms and showers were reasonably clean for a facility such as this. There is walking access to a restaurant we did not use. I suggest you drive by or through this campground before signing up. Check out the site that meets your needs. You have to register at the American Motel or across the street at the Sioux Motel, depending tine of day and who showed up for work. This is not a destination resort but is adequate for an over nighter, considering the options.

Best to arrive no later than 4pm as this is a one man operation. I give the owner credit; he is a nice guy but needs help between 4 and 6 PM. He registers a guest, locks the door, and escorts the guest to his site. Access to the site may be evident on the campground map, and there may be 3 others waiting to register, but this is the way it is done. If I can find my way to the WalMart in North Platte, I can find my camp site here. I agree with previous comments about the showers. The shower stall is large but there is no dressing area. You are charged KOA rates but no KOA quality here. No competition nearby. There is a nearby golf course so I would stop again.

We have stayed here 2 times in the last 30 days, just by chance, not design. The $28 is for water/electric with the KOA discount plus taxes. Check-in staff is great. They trust you, as an adult, to find and park in your site after they mark up the site map. Others have commented on all the features such as the rec room, etc. I would like to comment on the restrooms, particularly the showers, which should be the Gold Standard for all other RV Parks to follow. The showers stalls are large and have an abundance of hot water and a nice shower head. There is dressing area with a door proving separation from the main part of the restroom. There is a very good shower curtain. There are adequate hooks for hanging towels, and clothes. There is a bench to sit on while putting on your shoes. But best of all, there is a clean plastic web mat in the shower and a clean cloth rug in the dressing area. The train tracks were no problem during our stays. Walking access to the adjacent mall is a plus in our book. Be vigilant at the campground entrance. While it is directly off Highway 50, it is on a curve in local street from the mall. Near by Rocky Ford and La Junta have 9 hole hold courses. $32 for 9 holes riding at Rocky Ford, a gold course built by the WPA in the 1920's.

This is the RV Park at Casino Hollywood, on the San Felipe Indian Reservation, located about half way between Albuquerque and Santa Fe, NM on I-25. There is easy access from Interstate 25 and there is a large travel center (gas station) in addition to the casino. The RV Park is large with plenty of room to navigate, is graveled, is fairly level, and has modern 30 and 50 amp service at all sites. While there are no sewer hookups or water at the sites there are 2 dump stations with water. The Wi-Fi reception and speed is very good. As far as I know it is first come first serve but check with the casino. There is a race track here so on special occasions it may have more than the two here tonight. Select a site and then register inside the casino. After paying a security guard will unlock the power box. San Felipe has a no alcohol policy. The casino is small compared to those in Albuquerque but has all the usual stuff. While they advertise $3 craps, it is higher after 4pm on weekends, if they have enough shooters. The evening buffet, $10, was modest but in keeping with the crowd. The Chili Reyanos were exceptionally good, better than 90% of restaurants, with a firm crisp crust. This is a nice, dark, and quiet park with abundance of security. If you can live with out showers, this is a great over nighter.

This is the quietest KOA I have been in. The usual train track must be miles away! The freeway, a mile away, is not a problem. Midweek there are no other campers in this park that is dedicated to annual lot holders. It must be a hoot on holidays. I am trying to find a way to post that the RV park in the Winni-Vegas Casino, Solon, IA is still in operation. $7 a night which has not changed since we were there in 1999.
